Well It's 1:22 am and going to bed but the word that I am going to use is GENIUS . Barbra Streisand WOOED the Atlanta croud tonight and they gave her Nothing BUT PURE LOVE BACK....She has put together an AMAZING SHOW.

On the Intro to PEOPLE she sitting down and holding on to the handrail and when she tried to get up the handrail came apart.....But she went with it and joked and with on with PEOPLE......
There are so many AMAZING parts in the show that I cant relieve it all but one thing that I MUST SAY IS THAT The INTRO and The song Cockeyed Optimist WAS SIMPLY AMAZING.............PEOPLE IF YOU HAVE TO BREAK INTO YOUR PIGGY BANK AND SEE THIS SHOW.......OH one more thing.....I was sitting in the FRONT ROW on her left side.
I WAS BLOWN AWAY...... John Travolta and Kelly Preston was seating in second row center.

It has been 40 years since Barbra has performed in Atlanta, Georgia and the audience was more than ready to greet her again! Before the show the audience members around me were instant Barbra fans. Three men on my left had bought tickets the day before the concert and were ecstatic about seeing Barbra live. The couple to my right actually got tickets from Marty. It turns out that the man's brother had worked for Barbra as her investment consultant and had left her two years ago to open his own business. (I wish I could remember his name).

All around me the excitement in the air was amazing! After the Funny Girl overture, she finally appeared on stage and the audience went wild. My friend Hart, from Ft. Lauderdale commented that the opening ovation was the longest of the 6 shows he has seen so far. After Starting Here, Starting Now she spoke about her love affair with "southern hospitality" and the people from Atlanta. You could feel her general warmth for this city. To go into detail on every song would be hard to do. For me, the construction of the show was BRILLIANT from beginning to end. She took me on the journey and at the end I was blown away by her perfectionism and pure GENIUS!

My friend Robin was here with me from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. She's been to 8 shows so far and she said that this show has definitely been one of the top shows. The audience just GOT HER and totally loved her to pieces and you could really feel it.

For me, one of the many highlights of the show was "Cockeyed Optimist". The intro was so moving when she quoted William Saroyan and her unique rendition of the song was simply AMAZING.

Hart actually sat next to the mayor of Atlanta in the front row. He also said that the crowd was amazing and they gave her the longest standing ovations compared to the other cities he's been to.

In closing, being in the front row was truly an amazing experience (I was 8 seats away from John Travolta and Kelly Preston!). I was on her "classic left profile side" and she looked as gorgeous as she did 20 years ago. (Robin wants to add that she was on her right side and she looked equally gorgeous on that side too!)

Barbra's construction of the show with Il Divo TOTALLY WORKS. If you are the least bit skeptical about seeing this show because of Il Divo, don't be. Trust Barbra's genius!

Must go to bed but will say more tomorrow.....
It was " THE NIGHT OF MY LIFE"

I am still in the clouds, way up high among the heavens! I drove back from Atlanta last night to Birmingham, AL with my former partner and now very good friend.
I saw Barbra in "The Concert" in 1994. I thought at that time nothing could top that. I was wrong! Last night in Atlanta I experienced the greatest performance of my life time!!! Her voice was so strong, so beautiful! Her "Happy Days" song sounded better than I ever heard it before! Barbra got so many standing ovations, too! More standing ovations than I recall from 1994. The crowd just melted. I couldn't get over the power she held in the palm of her hands. Barbra was so totally wonderful to her audience! She was so relaxed, I couldn't get over it! My friend who had never seen Barbra live was in aw h. He said. "her voice was so powerful"! Her encore were to die for. When she came back and did "Don't Rain On My Parade" most of the audience including me, was on our feet dancing and screaming. It was at that moment like a rock concert. She came back again and said something like her voice was a little tired but we had been such a great audience she wanted to try to sing one more song. Barbra sang "Smile". God this woman is the greatest star of all time!!!!
I bought $220.00 worth of merchandise! I also had my picture taken. What an incredible day Nov, 2nd, 2006 was in my life! How could anything ever top this! Thank you Barbra. I truly love and adore you!

I came alone because my partner is basically bed ridden at this point because of a kidney-metabolic illness called renal tubular acidosis. Anyway, we went to 2000 in NY but this time I was alone. Nothing to think about but the concert, which actually was very nice. Got to my row 5 center seat and marveled at the view. Barbra looked and sounded glorious. The crowd was quite amazing. They absolutely loved her and demonstrated that throughout the concert. Real adulation. The political part was fine (I agree with her politics but did not want it shoved down my throat). Actually, she was very vocal about all of us finding happiness and love and being our best. She is a remarkably wise and inspiring soul. She was so funny in her questions and answers- the funniest being her crack about she could lay down right now on the piano and go to sleep, when someone asked her if it was difficult to unwind after the show. Her voice was strong and supple. She sounded just like Barbra does on record. Il Devo was not at all horrible. Actually, very surprisingly, they added a nice touch. I think they were an excellent choice and Barbra utilized them perfectly. I LOVED this show, as we all do. No fan should miss it. It was probably the number one entertainment event of my life, and that is saying a lot because I love to go to concerts and Broadway shows and have seen so many. This show was brilliant.
