James Brolin Says Wife Barbra Streisand 'Wears The Pants'

Date

Barbra StreisandJames Brolin recently talked to "Access Hollywood" about the insult that made him fall in love with wife Barbra Streisand, how they make the marriage last, and his search for deep sea millions.

Brolin told Billy Bush about the insult that made him fall in love with Streisand, "It was almost like a blind date. I had just cut off all my dyed hair and she came up to me and said who screwed up your hair and I went 'boy, somebody in this room is telling the truth. This is great.' I responded so well to it, and we've been together for 10 years now. It’s a good marriage."

Brolin added that the key to making the marriage last is, "getting a little tune up whenever you have some differences, get a referee to help you get through it and learn some lessons...a counselor sometimes." Furthermore, when Bush asked who wears the pants in the relationship, Brolin answered, "Oh, she does."

Brolin also confirmed that Streisand would be going back on tour, "It took her six months. She kept saying, 'no, no, no' and now she is going to go out in November."

On another note, the veteran actor told Bush, "I'm a day trader...I came across this new company that was putting together a group of the most expert deep sea divers and it sounded kind of interesting because they are going after Spanish galleons...I bought the stock and then on the website I bought some more."

When asked if he would be going on board to join in the deep-water exploration and recovery of important treasures, Brolin said, "I'm going to go out with them for a few days until I get bored and then in three months there is a 20 million dollar recovery ship that starts out."

The interview airs on "Access Hollywood," Friday, March 24.
