In Army Archerd's column in today's Variety:  "In addition to performers Barbra Streisand, Willie Nelson, Neil Diamond and Billy Crystal at the June7 Disney Hall fund-raiser for the John Kerry and DNC campaigns, celeb hosts, many of whom will be making intros, include: Ben Affleck, Warren Beatty, Annette Benning, Ted Danson and Mary Steenburgen, Laurie and Larry David, Benicio Del Toro, Robert De Niro, Danny DeVito and Rhea Perlman, Leonardo DiCaprio, Kirsten Dunst, Dustin Hoffman, Ben Stiller, Laurence Fishburne and Gina Torres."

Interesting that three of her Fockers co-stars are participating...

Apparently ticket prices (for LA) will start at $2000 - and if you pay $25,000, you get dinner! (Must be an expensive pot roast!)

Barbra and Neil may perform a 'You Don't Bring Me Flowers' Parody - but is to be confirmed. Streisand / Diamond are both artists on Columbia Records. A album could be released in some form - but again is unconfirmed at this point.

BarbraNews.com originally broke the news that Barbra will sing Live, in a rare performance at the Walt Disney Radio Hall on June 7th.

I can reveal that tickets will go on sale through Ticketmaster very soon, and alongside Barbra will be Neil Diamond and comedian Billy Crystal.

The concert date follows the LIVE Julien Entertainment auction which will be on June 5th in Los Angeles.

Jann supports John

The man who wrangled major stars to give two concerts on both coasts next month to benefit John Kerry's bid for the presidency defends their right to get active in politics.

Jann Wenner, editor and publisher of Rolling Stone, will produce a show at the Walt Disney Concert Hall in L.A. on June 7 featuring Barbra Streisand, Neil Diamond, Willie Nelson and Billy Crystal, as well as one at Radio City Music Hall on June 10 with Robin Williams, John Mellencamp, Wyclef Jean, Jon Bon Jovi, Bette Midler, James Taylor and Whoopi Goldberg. Heavy hitters John Sykes and Harvey Weinstein are also involved.

"Nobody hesitated," Wenner told us yesterday. "People are upset that we're in a war in a place where we shouldn't be, and that millions are out of work. They want to work on a change. People say entertainers should stay out of politics. But entertainers have as much right as a lobbyist or an executive to get involved, because they speak on behalf of people's hopes and dreams."

The two shows, which Ticketron is handling, are expected to raise millions of dollars for the Democrat, which Kerry campaign manager Mary Beth Cahill said would be used in the swing states this summer.

Streisand, Diamond to Sing for Democrats
Wed May 12, 6:25 PM ET

WASHINGTON - Barbra Streisand and Neil Diamond, who crooned the 1978 hit "You Don't Bring Me Flowers," will sing for John Kerry and the Democrats next month as a star-studded list of entertainers perform at two fund-raising concerts in New York and Los Angeles.

Streisand and Diamond will perform together for the first time in 24 years at the Los Angeles concert, the Democrats said. The concert also will feature country singer Willie Nelson and comedian Billy Crystal, a frequent host of the Academy Awards  program.

New York's line up includes comedians Robin Williams and Whoopi Goldberg, and singers Bette Midler, Jon Bon Jovi, James Taylor, John Mellencamp and Wyclef Jean.

More performers will be announced later, the Democrats said.

The concerts will be at the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles on June 7 and at New York's Radio City Music Hall on June 10. Tickets for the New York concert went on sale through Ticketmaster Wednesday for $250, $500 and $1,000. The Los Angeles tickets were not yet available.
