"Star Wares Collectibles is
pleased to conduct their very first EBAY LIVE Auction. To start off what is
planned to be an on-going series of auctions, we are offering an exclusive
collection of some of the finest items in our inventory directly from the
home of Barbra Streisand. The Barbra Streisand personal collection of career
memorabilia, antiques and personal items was acquired when Julien Auctions
stopped their Ebay auctions. Since then, fans and collectors have been very
enthusiastic with the daily auctions conducted through Star Wares. This
enthusiasm has prompted us to put together this auction, timed perfectly for
the holiday season. Amongst the offerings are career items and antiques
never offered for sale prior to this. The items and lots have been selected
to sell at competitive live auction prices, though several lots are prime
for smaller budgets. Though Star Wares plans to continue the daily ebay
sales of Barbra Streisand's items after this, much of that will depend on
the success of this auction. Fans are encouraged to bid competitively at
this auction, as this may be one of the last times exclusive career
memorabilia will be offered.
Please keep in mind that the monies from all of Barbra Streisand's auctions
through Star Wares goes to Streisand's foundation, and purchase prices, with
receipts are considered contributions to the foundation. Amongst the
programs supported by the Foundation are after school programs for
disadvantaged children, breast cancer, civil rights organizations and
environmental causes.
Each item will come with a certificate of authenticity stating that the
purchase is from The collection of Barbra Streisand to benefit "The
Streisand Foundation." Each certificate will feature a picture of the item
purchased and the certificate will be signed by Barbra Streisand and by
Marcia Tysseling of Star Wares Collectibles.
Auction will closed Sunday Nov. 20. As long as payments are received within
two weeks of auction close, Star Wares can guarantee delivery for Christmas
2005."
